FMT - Prince Andrew calls on Najib

PUTRAJAYA: Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak at Seri Perdana here today.

British High Commissioner to Malaysia Simon Featherstone accompanied him at the one-hour meeting where they also had breakfast.

Prince Andrew arrived in Malaysia yesterday for a three-day visit in his capacity as Britain’s special representative for international trade and investment.

He is scheduled to meet senior government officials, including Bank Negara Malaysia governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz, as well the business community and attend several other events including opening the Newscastle University in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor.

He will have an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at 3pm today at Istana Terengganu, Kuala Lumpur.

His first visit to Malaysia was in 2001.
